This is one of our recent Manchester Homes projects – a side kitchen extension in Timperley.
Manchester Homes completed a side kitchen extension in Timperley, adding functional space and improving the kitchen layout. The extension features a minimalist design with clean lines and modern finishes. Handleless cabinetry and a continuous countertop provide a practical and uncluttered workspace.
The hidden challenge – poor ground
Due to poor ground conditions, the foundation required piled footings to ensure structural stability. This is common around Timperley and Altrincham. We excavated and installed piled footings first, which guarantees the extension integrates smoothly with the existing structure.
Build
Our team then built the shell, matching the existing brickwork perfectly.
The finish – light and space
To improve natural light, we installed two Velux windows alongside a new window above the sink. Large floor tiles were fitted to enhance the sense of space and brightness, supported by recessed ceiling lighting.
The completed extension delivers a bright, modern kitchen suited to everyday use.
